Our mission works to ensure equitable access to high-quality preschools so that every Cincinnati child is prepared for kindergarten

Cincinnati Preschool Promise is possible thanks to a significant investment from taxpayers. In 2016, and again in 2020, tax payers supported and approved –with overwhelming support– a 5-year Cincinnati Public Schools levy. The levy allocated $33 million per year to strengthen K-12 education and $15 million per year to expand access to quality preschool. Together with the United Way of Cincinnati, we created a plan to bring preschool expansion to our city, utilizing the funds to expand the number of high-quality preschools and to provide tuition assistance to families that need it most.
